And people figure out a lot of complications to make their house seem awesome. Different appeals are tried out to make the house interesting and make it a good experience to the family. Besides all this, having good privacy in the house is equally important right! Most of the individuals prefer strangers and some guests not to enter their house as it may disturb their privacy or spoil the cleanliness. A small meeting room just before entering the hall is a great option. But, the lawn sitting arrangement is the trend now! A table with few chairs or benches around covered by temporary roofs is the arrangement being preferred for visitors now. The point of interest is that this furniture is not the typical type of furniture found inside the houses. All what you could see is a small place to sit and the rest is covered with greene

Deep Inside

Everyone wants a break from their routine and relax. Well, holiday trips are the best under this title. Visiting your favorite place or a place you never visited and spending some days over there could be the most soothing experience out of this extremely boring routine. At these times, would you prefer staying in a usual hotel? Might be a 4 or 5 star one but it’s the routine again right! To set a trending example for the place of stay, Heart of Europe project have come up with the 42 under water villas in Dubai. Well these are not guest houses but villas to live in. These are three storied villas of which one is under water, one at the water level and the other above. Most of it has glass walls to give the real feel of living inside water. Going 13 feet under water, a bedroom, kitchen and dining are present in the bottom floor. Officially launched on March 3 rd , the first day of The Dubai International Boat Show, this has become an interesting idea in real estate. Well, it

The Teddies!

Majority of folks devoid of age concern are great fans of these teddies and barbies. Well, you could be one. I join the club too! It is exciting to know the existence of fan clubs for these. Why all this discussion? At this point, you need to question yourself. Are these just for play purpose? If your answer is no, then you are on the right channel. These toys could add up a great quotient to the score of the interiors of your house. In fact, this is what done in our house. I had a collection of barbies and teddies in my childhood. Like most, I don’t play with them much at present. I never expected these toys to be the interiors of my room! The corners were arranged with a glass of semi circular shape over which my teddies sit. Another akin glass piece with all my barbies cooking is arranged in opposite corner. Well, my room looks like the class room of a kinder garden! Of course, I like it. The environment is very creative in the room. I think this is the reason why kinder gar

Anger Room

A typical home consists of bed rooms, dining, kitchen, drawing room etc. Well, all these are sufficient to meet the regular necessities. Then why a concept of a room called anger room? We are common people and may not be able to control our anger sometimes. We don’t even know what is rolling out of our mouth at that time. Those words may be hurting for some. Some may even feel offended by them! To avoid such situations, please don’t get angry. Well, this is something not feasible right! This is the reason why an anger room is necessary. Whenever you get angry, just get out of the place and go to that room. And the room should be supporting. It should be sketched with some peace quotes, light and soothing colors and pleasant interiors. The room should allow you to do your favorite thing so that your blood pressure goes down. If you want to know the advantages, there are many. Firstly, the peace of your home is not disturbed. Your relationship with the people around is maintained. Y

Greenery in Interiors

Have you come across any room or a house with some plants or other greenery inside? Well, I have been to a hotel today and its interiors included this component. The room had a small partition at its center and the top of it was made convenient for the arrangement of plants. The plants were kind of miniature or bonsai ones. By adding this to the interiors, beauty was a plus, but something else matters! The carbon-di-oxide released by those plants. Plants release oxygen only when they are exposed to sun light. All the other times, they are also going to be normal living things that take in oxygen and leave out carbon-di-oxide. This is the reason why we are not suggested to be near trees at night. So, we are just adding up some more temperature and pollution to our room for some beauty. I have seen some houses with rooms having a small lawn at the center. But, it was OK as most of them were in the presence of sun light by the arrangement of transparency to the ceiling. If you ar

Twinkling stars

Each of us has their own plan for their dream home and the bed room. But most of them would be a part of routine ideas. But I have got this crazy idea when I was sitting on the terrace of my house today evening.  Well, as a contribution to the World Environment Day, we decided to switch off the power supply for some time and all of us were on the terrace. It was dark already, and we stayed there enjoying the dark sky with the little stars twinkling here and there in the sky like some fish in a lake! It was a great relaxation and we returned after an hour or so. It was really a great experience and the initiative was also good. What if we have this beautiful view that never allows you to take your eye off it every day by the time you sleep? You got me right! A house on the top floor and the bed room with a transparent ceiling is all what you need. Entire ceiling need not be transparent but a part of it also renders the experience of the scenic sight. Just as you lie on bed, befor

TV in the house

Not a single house today can be found without a TV. Technology has shown its impact on the world. The prices of the early models have gone down to a considerable extent. Well, people started to agree that TV is a part of the list of necessities or comforts but not luxuries. You have one in your home right? Well, if you have more than one, it’s a matter to think about. There may be a plethora of reasons why you have purchased more than one TV. But, once they become a part of your house, they surely show an effect right! May be 2 televisions can be considered to be normal depending on the population of the house. If it’s a joint family, one TV may not meet the needs of everyone. But if it’s more than that or if you have more number of TVs’ being a small family, disadvantages are a complimentary! If you are rich enough to accommodate a TV in each room, it’s good. But, if that’s the case, everyone would prefer to sit in their own room with their own gadgets. If you live without any i

Kitchen Sketch

It’s no more the time for the stale old types of techniques in the kitchen. May be a new house or a one in which already you are living, modern kitchen stands as a prime requirement right! May be a small family or a joint one or a single occupancy in a house, you need to cook food and it requires a kitchen. Well, great mechanical advantage is derived with the implementation of modern kitchen techniques. Getting deeper into physics! It also reduces the necessity of manual labor. Modern kitchen includes amenities like modular kitchen which includes a drawer for the food wrap, crockery and others separately. This provides easy access to corners. A chimney at the top of the stove that absorbs up the heat produced during cooking. A good ventilation facility with at least one window in the kitchen is a necessity. An arrangement for movement between kitchen and dining would be good. A place preferably at the corner fixed for mixer, grinder, juicer etc. Tiling for the side walls for a mi

Marble as your flooring?

Whether you own a house or going to own one, you have an interesting decision to make about your house, the flooring. I am sure every house needs one! The most popular flooring used now a days in the apartments as well as villas is the white marble flooring. Well, the look of it is to be admired. It presents an elegant look to the house not just because of its color but also because of its texture. White marble also fits in the budget and works out with your pocket. Looking only on the bright side of anything is not good right! On the dark one, let’s also talk about the cons of it. If some colorless liquids like water or so fall on it, it is never visible and may lead to slipping at the spots. Any scratches while dragging heavy objects gets dust accumulated in them and don’t give a neat look and make it untidy. If the corners are not taken care, the white marble appears brown. If you are confident enough that you can take care of all this, you can have the white marble. If not, the

Study Room

Well, after a long tiring session of exams for about 10 days, I sat up today making a list of all the flaws in my study time and methods. Most of the time I spent bare was due to the reason that I was not interested to study. I tried taking my book to my friend’s room and it resulted in boosting my interest. Thinking to the base of the reason, I  realized  the culprit is my room. Not actually my room, it’s me! I have made the arrangement of my room and I am responsible for how it looks. How can I blame it? To the end of this thought process I was able to fill the gap between my room and my “study room”. Mine is a single hostel room which should serve all purposes. Some changes just during exams helps good enough. All you need to do is to make your room a place that urges you to study. Have a pile of books neatly arranged that are seen as soon as you enter the room. On the table, have some food and the books of your  favorite  subject. Have a rough notes open always. Beside you

The Window View

Few days ago, I visited a house of a doctor, very experienced and old. He is now retired and works as a guest faculty for a medical college. If I am stressing on his experience and retirement, I need not specifically mention about his financial status! This is the first time I visited his house. One of the most beautiful and well sketched houses that I have ever seen, more beautiful than the ones I came across in Kerala! It is a big one with the doors about 10 feet high, giving the royal essence to the entrance. A duplex with 5 bed rooms and an additional guest room. I probably had the luck to have a look at the entire house. I took about 1 hour to view the house. Of this one hour, the most beautiful setup I found was their personal bed room. Need not mention about the interiors incorporated there, but surely have to spare some words for the bed! There is a huge window. Attached to it is a 6X6 measured construction with a mattress fixed on it. The wall comprised of a column to hold w

It's Bangalore!

On an argument with my sister few months ago, I was trying to emphasize the necessity of further studies after completing her B.E in C.S stream. But, she was least bothered to pin her ears back on me. Trying to figure out the reason, I asked her idea which heartened her to crave for a job but not M.S. Having got a placement in Bangalore with a decent package, she wanted to settle there. But, of course a common problem, her boy friend! Fortunately, her man too is placed there. What else could this be other than a chance to enjoy her life to the fullest? Bangalore, her favorite place for its cool climate is really exciting. And now, she is in the IT Company with her husband and a 2BHK apartment that accommodates their love. They are on the 16th floor and have to admit the prettiness of the place and the view from the window is awesome. Don’t you wish to spend at least some part of your life in such a lovely place?
